ARTISTIC RESIDENCES CYCLE SARANDIRA 2020/2021
To reside is to live
Living is a way of living, but living is also an invitation to imagine ways of living. When we thought about this Cycle of Residences in Sarandira, the first principle was that of coexistence. A project that involved the permanence of artists, researchers and architects within the community of Sarandira, albeit temporarily, as a way of strengthening affective bonds both with residents, but also with the local landscape. Living in Sarandira, we would listen, talk and build everything - and only - what he did, being for those who live, effectively, the daily life of Sarandira.

DEVELOPMENT OF SARANDIRA TOURISM
The first visit for the tourist survey of the Sarandira Criativa project was carried out between January 14 and 17, 2019 in Sarandira (Juiz de Fora - Minas Gerais) by tourismologists Raquel Faria and Suzana Markus. In addition to the attractions of the district (Mine, Fountain, Circuit of the Enchanted Murals and shops), Cachoeira do Castelo, Cachoeira de Sarandira, Fazenda Santana, Cachoeira Passo da Pátria (Baluarte Restaurante), Fazenda do Rochedo, Fazenda Cachoeirinha and Fazenda do Playground.
Based on the elaboration of an Affective Map by the community of Sarandira and using a fully participatory methodology, training in tourism will be started by identifying all the natural and cultural attractions, in addition to mapping the food and accommodation services in the community for the elaboration of the plan of tourism in Sarandira and the finalization of the tourist survey. From then on, the community will organize itself to provide scripts and produce local events.
The Casarão de Sarandira will serve as a focus for these activities and will be managed by the community itself after this formation.
Currently, the Macaúba local development team (Mariana Rocha, Lívia Pacheco and Lupri do Carmo) are at the forefront of the current diagnosis and strengthening of the community's productive identity to later awaken the power of execution, think of collective actions and execute a schedule of actions to seek the development of tourism in Sarandira.
